Our Mission

Breaking Chains Academy of Development is a 501c3 community based organization providing at-risk youth with the tools and resources needed to deter them from criminal and gang activity while helping them successfully transition into adulthood. BCAD pursues these goals by executing three main objectives: Education, Work Skills Training & Mentoring. BCAD realizes that we don't work with at-risk youth, but instead share our lives with them and allow them to share their lives with us. What makes BCAD so successful in reaching our goals is that we build sincere, loving RELATIONSHIPS with our youth. We understand that our youth face a multitude of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE’s). Because of this, we work to build resilience in all of our students using a trauma-informed approach throughout our program.
